Beijing Playhouse's production of the Christmas musical comedy Robin Hood (and his Holly Jolly Merry Men) comes to the Beijing stage December 5-21, 2014. Weekday evenings at 7:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 pm. Performed in English with Chinese subtitles.

Beijing Playhouse, China's English Broadway Theatre, has presented such Broadway favorites as the musicals Oklahoma! and Guys and Dolls, You Can't Take It With You, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and Neil Simon's The Odd Couple.  Past Christmas musical comedy productions of Snow White and Cinderella, by the same director as Wizard of Oz, were hugely popular and sold out.

Celebrate Christmas with Robin Hood as you’ve never experienced Sherwood Forest before.  The pratfalls and twists of this outrageous audience interactive comedy are guaranteed to deliver rousing holiday fun for the entire family.  A fairy tale for the children with a whole level of humor just for the adults.

Audience members are invited to cheer and boo and hiss as Robin, Maid Marion, Friar Tuck, Little John and all their friends rob from the rich and give to the poor at Christmastime in Sherwood Forest.  This is not your grandmother’s traditional Robin Hood.  Be prepared for a zany twist on a classic story.

Last Christmas' Wizard of Oz sold out some performances and people were turned away at the door.  So make your reservations early.
