Actors and Singers Wanted for Live Theatre
Beijing Playhouse seeks actors and singers for our English language production of Charles Dickens’ holiday classic A Christmas Carol. 北京剧场现在招募英文剧《圣诞颂歌》的演员.
Professional acting experience is not necessary. We love discovering new talent. Nationality is not important. Ability to perform in English is required. 欢迎各国籍人士加入，要求语言用英文.
Audition Dates
Auditions are Sunday, September 21 and Monday, September 22 at 7:30 pm. (Call backs, if necessary, Tuesday, January 22 at 6:30 pm.) 招募时间是2008年9月21日周日和9月22日周一晚7:30. （复试时间是1月22日周二晚6：30）
Performances
Performances are Wednesday—Saturday nights and Sunday matinees, December 5-28, 2008. 演出时间是2008年12月5-28日周三至周六晚和周日下午. |
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are Sunday—Thursday nights at 6:30 in October and November.

A Christmas Carol
The 100 cast and crew of China’s premier Broadway theatre bring the most famous Christmas story to the Beijing stage. Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit and the ghosts of Christmas teach cantankerous ol’ Ebenezer Scrooge the true meaning of the holiday. 中国首个百老汇剧场的一百位演职人员把最有名的圣诞故事带到北京的舞台上.

At Beijing Playhouse all roles are open. There are 20 roles, so it’s the perfect opportunity for newcomers who are looking to try their talent. 我们目前需要招募扮演各个角色的演员.

- 5 children, age 4-14
- 5 women, age 18-80
- 8 men, age 18-80
- 8 singers, age 18-80

Live Read from Script
Monologues are optional and encouraged but not necessary. You will perform scenes from the show with other actors. 带上自备歌曲或独白，但不要求, 您将会和其他演员同台试演剧本里的场景.
Pay
There’s no pay, but we have lots of fun parties! Acting in community theatre is volunteer. Did we mention we have fun parties? Well, we do! 演职人员没有报酬, 但是我们拥有很多丰富有趣的派对活动. 参加社区剧场的演出都属于自愿者.
